I can not give you any insight on the room conditions there but I can tell you that the hotel is an an excellent location. Clayton is extremely nice & you will be able to walk to numerous restaurants, etc. if you have time.
You would be maybe 2-3 miles from the hospital area & would have quick access to a cab at the hotel. You would need to phone for a cab at the hospital as St. Louis is not a "hail a cab on the street" kinda town.
