Both times in my lifetime that I got Bambi, it did not survive. Hitting one at over 90mph north of Klamath Falls reduces it survivability. Fortunately it landed in the windshield directly in front of me. The car was drivable, but vision was slightly blurred. The closest windshield was in Reno.

She was only doing 55 mph and ended up with a hanging bumper and a grill in the radiator. Internal injuries for Bambi´s mom.
And you are correct about meeting up on this trip as we are at SCL at the moment on our way to TLS via MAD. we both travel enough that maybe one day in the future are paths will cross again.
