I think it's difficult to categorize what's "buzzworthy." You certainly could say a topic such as Baht run belongs on UA, and there would be some truth to that, but you could also make the argument that while the Baht run's specific to UA, MileagePlus, and Star, it's interesting enough to enough people that don't normally read UA that it belongs on Buzz, given the number of posts it's generated.
I think Buzz should remain fairly general in nature. Let topics that are not of enough general interest die because of lack of interest. The one exception I would make to that would that if someone was new to FlyerTalk and confused about where to post something, and posted in Buzz just because "it's at the top," I would move the thread immediately if I were moderating. In general, I think newbies post off topic way more than people who have been part of the scene here for a while, it's certainly not malicious on their part, and they might even appreciate a little direction about how to use the board appropriately when they start out. With the reorganization of the boards, there also seems to be some confusion about where to post General Travel Talk questions; I suspect this will decrease over time.
By the way, as justification for my argument that topics of general interest should remain in Buzz, I never would have noticed the US Airways 500 miles for survey topic had it not been discussed here. Just so happens that I need activity in my US account to avoid having the miles expire 8 or 9 months down the road, so that post was most welcome.
