Strange that the UK law doesn't prohibit metal knifes yet prohibits the use of the new cutlery as the fork 'spikes' (sorry forgot what they are called - jetlag ) are too long.

Only reason I can think of for not having metal on those flights is perhaps to keep the product standard within company since only 3 routes out of the network can have metal.

And please don't complain to your flight attendant over things they and the company have no control over. (this includes the liquid ban too and it's also not my fault for the shambles that is LAX)
