I don't know what the new Travelpros are made of, but I have two old ones that I bought years ago at their outlet store in their factory at Boca Raton for about $40-50 each and they have lasted, and lasted, and lasted, for hundreds of trips each (they do look a bit the worse for wear by now).
I must admit, however, that I seldom (almost never) check them, but I will be upset whent they finally do go, because they have the old post connecting system that I really like and for which I have 4 or 5 small connecting bags.
