Flying into/out of SHV next month for a family wedding. I've never been there, so would appreciate any advice those familiar with the airport can offer.
I am an AC and CO Pres Club member, but there do not appear to be any lounges at SHV--any opinions on the best place to wait for my ride on arrival and outbound flight on departure (I'll have time to kill on both ends--ahh, the vagaries of the obligatory family-provided "free ride"...

Any other tips, tricks, must-see/do while at SHV are also much appreciated.

No airline lounges at SHV. There is a small restaurant upstairs near the security entrances, landside, and some seating areas outside the restaurant where you can wait for arriving pax. Can't vouch for the food. There's also a snack/news stand near the AE gate airside.
There are five casinos in Shreveport and Bossier, if you are so inclined, within 10-15 minutes of the airport. There's also a riverside shopping development, Louisiana Boardwalk, near the Horseshoe casino in Bossier City (just across the Red River from Shreveport.)
The terminal at SHV is fairly new, and the TSA staff has always been courteous. For a small airport, it's a nice operation, just without some of the amenities--such as airline lounges, etc.
