Smile The Outcome...

Well, we're finally at the Springhill Suites! After attending a daylong event, we came back to the orginal hotel to check in. I presented myself at the front desk and was quickly handed an envelope. The manager was very apologetic and said that this should never have happened to an elite member (I'm currently a Silver). She said that in the envelope was a little something to help ease the inconvienience. Once we got to our room, I opened up the envelope and found a certificate for a free night stay at a Springhill Suites and $100 cash. I was shocked!

Though the last 24 hours were somewhat hectic and confusing, I thought that the hotel staff did a wonderful job on fixing the problem. They paid for last night's lodging, all transportation involved with getting to and from the hotel, and included the compensation noted in previous replies. My only worry now is that I will not receive the night credit and points for last night.. My reservation online now only has us staying from Thursday-Saturday (instead of starting on Wednesday). Should I worry or just wait for the issue to be resolved?

Also, thank you to all who helped answer my question on the board.. The first thing I thought of after getting "walked" was to post my story here!
