Love this thread...and agree on proposing in Hawaii.

Here are some of my suggestions about where you can propose:

Byodo-in Temple - The temple is a place of awesome beauty, located near Kaneohe, Hawaii. It is a scale replica of a temple in Uji Japan built over 900 years ago. It's beautiful architecture , the graceful gardens and the backdrop of the Koolau Ridge will leave the visitor with a spirit of inner peace and serenity.

Hau’ula Loop Trail – Not sure if you like to hike, but this 2 mile trail is one of the most beautiful hikes on the island. Since it is "off the beaten track" you will likely be the only people on the trail. The trail is well-marked and meanders through shaded pine forests. The walk takes 90-120 minutes and is not too hard – every short walk uphill is rewarded with a downhill portion. Here is a link to some pictures taken along the trail (not mine...)
