As an FYI, overnight flights to EVN from SVO do get A320's. (Or at least they did a couple of years ago when I flew the route).
I just wonder how long it took you to drive from EVN to Kapan which is basically almost the whole length of the country...
Last time I looked at the schedule/flight status reports, EVN only got Soviet planes--usually TU154s, with an IL-86 thrown once. The taxi to Kapan was about 5 hours, delayed in route due to an accident (a truck went off the side of the road in the hilly part. It was dark, when I saw the site in daylight I couldn't believe the lack of guardrails.), and cost about 45€.
