Yep. I am crediting them with one 500 mile flight to get the account open and receive their welcome packet and card. I will only put miles into the account (by transfer from Amex SPG) when I want a short, cheap mileage award.
I think the miles expire in 3 years. But they do give 50% miles on BA discount fares instead of 25% like AA and BA!
