Personally, I wholeheartedly believe that if you can't maintain your Gold status, then you have no business initiating a Plat challenge. Not saying this is necessarily the case with the OP, but it is suspect.
While I share the sentiments personally, unless and until AA implements the changed rules, good luck to the OP!
