With the UA/EK-RTW (very cheap ex BKK) you can fly everything except Europe-HKG on UA + you can still credit the EK miles to UA, no EQM though.
(with UA's new service to Kuwait, you can squeeze some more miles on UA out of it)
With the Great escapade SQ/NZ/VS (quite cheap ex HKG) you can fly all the way SQ/NZ if you take NZ for LAX-LHR (or SQ on JFK-FRA if you do a surface segment in the US)
