On a pedantic note, the award booking tool on klm.com actually comes from airfrance.com so if it is not working on one site it shouldn't work on the other either.
Is it possible to have taxes quoted in GBP for flights from the UK? When you book an award over the phone will they quote taxes in GBP? I'd be interested to see if the taxes on an award flight are exactly the same as those on a paid flight.
