I'm all about value. Upgrades MIGHT be possible at W, not really so at St Regis. Also, $1200 for overwater with "plunge pool" = very appealing.
Potential upgrades and what the "plunge pool" is are huge factors I'm waiting on the answers to. (Email is only method of communication right now, according to William :| )
The scenery vs service comparison is an interesting thing I'll have to think about
Like you said though hopefully St Regis will be considerably better than other properties.
