Being a Colorado resident, I can speak for Beaver Creek, but not the Ritz. BC is a good resort which will provide an excellent skiing experience regardless of ability. Their ski school is amongst the best in the world. The skiing in Jackson is the best I have ever had in my life. I would rate Jackson better than my experiences in Colorado and Austria. If you are an EXPERT skiier, you will find Jackson the most challenging and exciting, however with the impending destruction of the Tram, much of the best terrain is being lost.
Sorry I cant comment on the hotels, but if you are an expert, you will prefer Jackson, anything else I would reccomend BC.
