I hear ya, hattie. I love my dogs more than anything. But I wouldn't risk their lives by putting them on a plane if I know that it is dangerous for them. The only way you'll be able to keep an oversized dog in the cabin is *maybe* if you buy a seat for her. And I'm not sure if dogs are even allowed in the cabin on international flights (no matter how well behaved or beloved they are). Maybe you could adopt a local dog for 3 months and then leave the dog at the orphanage (along with a donation to cover the costs of caring for the dog) to keep the kids company after you are gone?
