US Airways Dividend Miles Welcomes Air One
Starting September 15, 2005, Dividend Miles members will be able to earn miles when flying one of Italy’s most respected airlines – Air One – and those miles will count towards earning Preferred status. Awards may be redeemed for travel on Air One within Italy or when traveling on a US Airways award ticket between North America and Italy.

In addition to friendly service, the Air One network provides 1,400 flights throughout Italy every week to 22 cities, including Rome, Milan, Palermo, Turin, Caselle and Venice. Plus, Air One flies to the more popular tourist resorts such as the islands of Lampedusa and Pantelleria.

Lounge Access for Preferred Members and Business Travelers
Dividend Miles Preferred members, along with customers flying Y Class on Air One are invited to visit the Air One Welcome lounge at the Rome Fiumicino airport, the Piermarini lounge at Milan Linate and the VIP lounges at the Turin, Genoa and Trieste. For further information click here.

There’s More Coming Soon…
US Airways will soon announce details of a codeshare partnership with Air One, scheduled to launch this coming fall. Customers traveling between Italy and North America will enjoy even greater convenience with connections via Rome to several cities served by Air One, single ticket pricing, through check-in and coordinated baggage handling.
I would not be surprised with them joining * alliance- they are majority owned by Lufthansa and you have been able to collect Miles and More LH miles on them for about 4 years. I have flown out of Trieste a couple of times- and could not even tell you where the lounge is- by the way this is a really tiny airport (think 6 check in desks total).
It is a good little airline- although only economy class- think Southwest and you are not far off target.
