I have purchased many OW tix without getting the SSSS. The only times I have received the SSSS is when something was done at the last minute, either a de novo reservation or even a last minute (within a hour or two) change to an existing reservation. I am talking even when the ticket counter tells you your planned flight is delayed or cancelled, here is your new itinerary via another hub, and lo and behold, SSSS on the BP since whatever algorithm the computer uses marks this as a last minute booking. So SONG only offering OW flights will not get you the SSSS (although I do agree that the site should offer the capability to book RT).
