I'm not sure why these types of questions come up but am more than glad to try and answer. It really does not mater what the past, present and future requirements might be for forum posting privileges of any kind. I say that because the value of FlyerTalk to all the others, will be what you naturally have to contribute and what you feel comfortable in participating in. All members when they happen upon FlyerTalk make a decision to register and to post only on those things that are visible to them - not things they hear about later on. Granted, there are a few forums that over time might add additional value to some FlyerTalkers, but in no way do they diminish the value that FlyerTalk has in providing superb value to our members with real information on how to get more from your frequent flyer programs - all from the mouths of others.

A guideline for FlyerTalk - what all members have access to today is far greater than what most of us had to begin with. It worked for us then, and still works for us now.

As for the "rules" for CC and SPAM? Let those forums come to you... you cannot go to them.
