Now AC can finally redo their 763 interiors...
We were told at the YYZ Do that any order for Boeing jets would also include a refurbishing of existing 763 fleet interiors to the standard of the new 777 and 787 interiors as part of the package. This was obviously a key element in selecting Boeing [and another reason why CP/AC interior commonality has been delayed], but certainly the disappointing preformance of the A340-500s has a major role in this shift back to the American supplier. We should soon get to see what the new J seats look like too, as these are slated to start to be installed before the end of the year.
