LOL...You're comparing apples to oranges.
DTW-LAX = huge business market = difficult upgrades
IAH-MSY = leisure market = easy upgrades.
My last MSY trip, they upgraded all Silvers, then did operational upgrades of random people to clear up a coach oversell.
