pinniped is correct. AA has no plans to buy any A380s.
Think about it: AA doesn't currently fly any 747s. Nor any 777-300s.
So why on earth would it suddenly leapfrog those airplanes (pax capacity-wise) and buy A380s?
UPS and FexEx have ordered a few each. I suspect the reasons include the hope of favorable relations in the EU as much as for real desire to fly the behemoth.
