AMS (and the Netherlands in general!) was in travel chaos at the end of last week. We had over half a meter of snow in some parts, -20C in other parts and day long blizzards and freezing fog.

I was also due to fly out on Friday but ended up cooling my heels in the Dorint and being bumped to Saturday.

To be fair the gate agents, tranfer desk staff and arrivals desk staff were doing a sterling job. ^ Some PAX had been trying to get out since Wednesday(!) and tempers were getting a little frayed.
