Right, so therein lies the next question: when does the Diamond Executive gifted Gold companion card hit your account, and how fast do you have to use it?

I will have a Gold card to gift in 2H 2026 - as will every other Diamond Executive, since you have to clear 1,800 points to get to 2,400+ points obviously - and then I will get a second Gold card to gift in early 2027 as a benefit of the newly minted Diamond Executive status on Jan 1 2027? Per the details of Diamond Executive, you get a Gold card for a companion, that's clear (although the terms around it are not - when do you have to issue, if the term is concurrent with the Diamond Executive or not, etc.). But for the first year 2027 are they maybe referring to the fact that we just get our 1,800 CP Mid-Tier Benefit Gold Card (and thus kinda double counting for year 1?) Or are they actually going to give us all a second Gold card to gift as part of the benefits they say are part of Diamond Executive membership as soon as January 1, 2027 rolls around and the status officially starts?

On the one hand, it will be pretty slack if they don't give an extra one, because they will be lying / seriously misleading members by saying we get companion Gold card Mid-Tier benefits in 2026 and companion Gold Card as part of Diamond Executive membership starting Jan 1 2027. (If they choose this route and only give one, really you're only getting one or the other.) On the other hand, it will be rather redundant and a little silly since I'll basically have two Gold cards to gift within short order. Does my question make sense?
