Qs about 2026 Mid-Tier Benefits, Gold Card for DM Exec, and others
1.) Is it correct that we'll still get our mid-tier benefits (1,400 Lounge Passes / 1,600 Upgrade Certs / 1,800 Gold Card) upon hitting these milestones in 2026?
2.) For Diamond Executive status members from 2027, who get an automatic Gold card for a nominee, does anyone know a.) how quickly one must nominate that person? b.) how long that membership is valid for (12 months? Or just the length of the DME calendar year?) And if that person must be an existing Redemption Group nominee (like it stands currently)?
My "problem" is this: I will have a Gold Card to issue sometime in 2H 2026, when I cross 1,800 points, as part of the existing mid-tier benefit. Typically this gives us 6 months to issue. Mrs. QRC is already GO, and it will expire Dec 31 this year. Depending on the answers to #2 above, there seems like there could be some strategy in which one and when you tag your Gold nominees. Especially if the mid-tier benefit GO and DME GO have different terms.
