I have only flown PR once, JFK-YVR, and it was forgettable, granted, that was some time ago. Those first impressions are hard to overcome. Similarly, I have only flown SQ once, a decade ago. It was probably the worst J flight I have flown.
PR awards for those short, don't really care, inter Southeast Asia destinations would be nice, though.

I have yet to fly them, but they’re a great backup to have in your pocket - especially around holidays. If better last minute availability drops I will gladly switch over. As for SQ, I don’t have any major complaints. Their soft product is not as consistent as it used to be, but their bulkhead seats are very spacious.
