somewhere way up in this thread, I posted a few thoughts on this topic. basically 1,800 - 2,400 is a "dead zone". You can't roll those credits over (+600 is the max for regular DM, put another way over 1,800 but below 2,400 is "lost"), and there are no incremental benefits. You do get credit there towards your Diamond Reserve, but since you're not Diamond yet I don't think that helps you either, and I think that's a small gain regardless.

TLDR: you should either pull back and aim for 1,800, or go for 2,400+. Landing in the middle of those two is a waste.

Question: how any points can you get for credit card status credits?
