Just read in a Korean newspaper a phenomenon called "travel without taking annual leave" where people are trying to squeeze in more weekend trips right after Friday work and early Monday morning, arriving straight back to work. Apparently going to HK is popular for Koreans taking these trips. I imagine there's a similar phenomenon for HKers going to Japan, which is a similar distance away.
