Just returned from 8 nights.
Hotel has on 60 rooms- basically 4-plexes with nice sized rooms and decking. Arrived night of business meeting with band. Next day
wedding group started to show up. All in all was under control. However, weekend was mad house with locals bringing lots of kids.
Hotel sells day passes to local residents.
No menu change for all 8 days. 1 restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. One beach area structure for lunch.
Ocean seemed a bit rough (I am pool person anyway).
As Diamond breakfast included- since we played golf early only ate 4 days of 8. Five to seven pm two free drinks at lobby bar
with some finger food- like 1 nibble. Not vegetarian friendly. Was different most days. I would guess they would send something from
restaurant if vegan/vegetarian.
About 2 1/2 hours from SAP. Arranged transport for $200 r/t with Luis +504 3181-9138 (Whatsap). Hotel wanted $276.
Arranged golf with Geoffry Maldonado at the "Sports Club" +504 9886-3885 (Whatsapp). Quoted $124 (2 for 1) cart included but actually
charged less. Hilton Diamond gets 10% off however was even better with discount. Caddie $35 for 2 of us per day. Course very
challenging with angles and lots of swamp/mangroves. Sign said crocodiles but only saw monkeys, birds, and ants. Extra golf balls
needed. No ball retriever as water is black.
Bring bug spray. Was eaten alive by no-see-ums at bar area at dusk. Also ants on golf course had their share of my ankles. Not very pretty
and very very itchy.Hydrocortisone might be a suggest to bring too.
Interesting place, nice to visit once.
