Has anyone booked the Wailea Beach Resort in Maui through Chase Edit? Did you get an upgrade and how was the breakfast?

I'm trying to see if it is worth the extra cost to book through Edit for my stay. I'm a bonvoy GE so there is a slight possibility of an upgrade anyway, but would booking through Chase increase the chance of getting an upgrade? Also will prefer to get an early check-in, so again wondering if booking through Chase will improve the chance of getting an early checkin.

Normally I wouldn't even consider paying extra to book through Chase, but I don't think I won't be able to use the $250 credit this year otherwise and anyway still need to meet the spend requirement on my CSR Biz card. Will greatly appreciate any input from those who have booked this property.
