Avis - CLT - incompetent and horribly understaffed

Closing the preferred counter early on a weekend night? A weekend night the day after Christmas? Spent at least 45 minutes (and counting) on ONE couple who apparently would not pick a damn car for some reason. Kick them aside and wait on the 30 people in line!

We eventually canceled our prepaid reservation and got an email a refund will be 3-10 days

in an uber now

One of the Avis CSRs admitted to the line that some people had to wait 5 hours today!
