bmi would indeed be a very welcome *A alternative to yukky LH on the South Africa run. Why MAN, why not LHR?
Incidentally, bmi's A330 is a **** fine-looking machine at CDG, particularly when viewed from the window of one of the cruddy old F**ker 100s that are now cropping up on the CDG-LHR run.
Oh, except that my last CDG-LHR was delayed by 20 mins to wait for a spare part for a "non-operational" A330 in MAN... Feel sorry for those poor MAN-ORD pax with no back up plane... Don't they keep spare parts up North? And aren't SA concerned about their A330s being cannibalised for parts?
