The way to go about this issue is just to select a seat as far front as possible. If you seat in the first row of J class, you will be served first, and your meal will be over in 1.5h after takeoff.
I was in row 3 on the A35K (HND-JFK), and the meal service didn't end for me until more than 3 hours after takeoff.
