The new method for earning points on flights is just terrible. YYZ to LAX before would net 4.5K RT with no status and will be around 800 points now. Even as 50K, it would only net 3.2K. YYZ to HND would be 13K before on Economy Flex and now it'll be around 2K. Since there's been a lot of 5x promotions lately, I'm curious how the promotions will work in the future as 5x base points on dollars spent does not sound very enticing.
