My 1st anniversary renewal date is April 1, so I have yet to experience the award discount benefit.

As I understood the old rules I would have received 2 certs each worth 5000 miles that would be deposited into my account after the award flights completed.

Under the new rules, I get a 10,000 mile discount at time of booking?? The T's & C's specify that the discount is good for 12 months and the reservation must be made prior to expiration. (Footnotes 2&3 on this link)
