Yes, you will be able to get some drinks to bring on the plane before boarding.
I would suggesting 2 hours even if you are checking a bag. Its not a big airport, and you don't want to be sitting around longer then you have to. From my memory they were checking in each destination separately so it wasn't just one huge mass of people for all the flights to NA.
