yeah, there's simply no reason to call or msg the rep. Anyone who's followed these threads at all knows that there is no instance where someone's gotten a courtesy credit or something showed up right away as a result. The most I've seen is the rep will agree you are right and to wait.
I don't know why every few months people seem to forget how the year long GGR credit works, given we've had an entire year of data points from last year. This is the first credit for the new year so I was just waiting to see if it followed the same pattern. Last year it did credit on 2/17 as well (actually overnight of 16-17). If someone had the time they could probably see how each month went last year (usually somewhere between 16 to18th)
The only real difference in the credit date is if it gets included in your statement balance. Most people probably don't notice, except for someone whose statement date is around the 16th. Then it just means they have to pay an extra $200 this month if they miss it.
Finally, I've noticed that when the credit hits, it automatically applies to your highest rate purchase (I'm carrying a lot of deferred interest purchases with different interest rates). Also, if it comes right after your statement date, it does not apply against your Min Payment. You still have to send that in.
