What does surprise me is that the OP did not ask for another one - I would. It also surprises me that people - and this is not directed at the OP in particular that have been around for years - are particularly reticent in real life but have plenty to say in cyberland.
I am thankful that BA serve perfectly adequate glasses and are not slopping everything into tumblers on the basis that quantity matters more than quality. Whether they are using Champagne or English Methode Champenoise I have no idea but intend to find out. I would add that the PDBs are served in glass as opposed to plastic over at American.
Spot on- downroute if Crew are lucky they get 2-3 bottles Duty Paid, if any at all, not because of paperwork issues but because the local caterer can’t or won’t source any and then there are countries where bars are not allowed to be opened on the ground, India, Middle East, Saudi and others.
These 2-3 bottles will have to be enough for 35-76 Club World Customers, so do the maths.
Ex LON and some outstations champagne comes from the Inflight Bars, again Crew need to be mindful to leave some for the flight.
With premium cabins still filled by leisure travellers, something BA still doesn’t acknowledge and those prolific posters on here who see it as a challenge to down as many drinks as they can to get their monies worth (tongue very firmly in cheek before I get shot down) before they go to Skyteam or elsewhere, there’s simply not enough loaded to fill glasses to the top.
That has been ongoing for years and someone in BA simply refuses to listen, so by all means, it’s not the Crews ‘ fault.
