I am pleased to report that seat assignment on BE fares seems to be working as several members in this thread have described:

1. The system automatically assigned me a seat sometime between T-72 and T-48.
2. At check-in, I could change from my assigned seat to any non-preferred white seat.

I was wondering if the "Seat Preference" feature where you could waitlist for a seat would activate at check-in once free seating was available, but it did not.

I have updated some of the language in the Wiki to reflect this.
