Agree with Kacee. I live near a Delta hub so they are typically my preferred airline. I normally try to use as many credits as possible, particularly the yearly airline credits, on January 1, in case I decide to cancel or product change the card. In January, 2019, I purchased Delta gift cards and was promptly reimbured. A few months later, Amex/Delta changed the coding so that gift cards were no longer eligible, but I didn't have to worry until the following year.

Use those credits as soon as possible and Good Luck!
