I ran into the same issue a few weeks ago but it was due to having a special character in the recipient's name (which the online form doesn't accept). The workaround is to call in & have the agent submit the points transfer.
No special character in our names. My wife and I have transferred points online in the past.
Just a piece of software that is broken and does not get fixed. Looks like nobody cares.
