hi, we generally like to see sights, are the places you mentioned above located nearby each other?

We also don’t mind chilling out for the day and seeing the sights nearby our hotel. But, we need to book a hotel room near the airport because we’ll need to arrive at the airport early next day (7am).

As of right now, I’m not sure which hotel to book.

The free day will also be on a Sunday and I’m not too familiar as to what places will be opened/closed on Sundays. I know the European working culture is very different than the US.

Any advice is recommended, thanks!

To give you advice it would be important to know what your interests are. I would recommend things like Residenz, Lenbachhaus, Old and New Pinakothek, Museum Brandhorst, Allianz-Arena, Deutsches Museum or the NS-Dokumentationszentrum.
