Well, on the way back, if you went via ORD, there would be no change of terminal. BA's flights departing from ORD leave from T3, which is shared with AA. And you won't need to worry about immigration at ORD. MIA is not one of my favourite entry points to the US.

Nevertheless, I would still route via JFK. You can sample the Chelsea Lounge. It is not a patch on the Concorde Room, but it is head and shoulders above the Lounge offering at ORD.
