Mileage run?
OK, while family is out of town next month, I want to take advantage of the current targeted CE/CW triple miles promo and boost my tier points towards gold, for as few £££s as possible, in the shortest time, on a Saturday morning! What's the best mileage run for me?
I figure LHR-CDG-LHR in Club Europe ("I" class?) will get me 220 miles + 110 cabin and 55 tier bonuses = 385 x 3 = 1155 + 80 tier points for £324.40. That's still 28p a mile, which is not great, but I really want the tier points. Going economy (what?!) doesn't make sense as far as I can see because I won't get tier points on the cheapest fares.
I'm sure some of you will have a much better suggestion - I'm all ears!
