Just to complete the explanation, tickets purchased with FFCs or ETCs used as a payment still enjoy the 24 hour refund policy.
BUT if starting with the FFC and changing to different flights, that does not. One of the many reasons to use the payment option approach.

FFCs from a partial flown itin, as the only way to use is via change flight, do not get the the 24 hour protection.
