last week i bought a cheapo computer with a tv-tuner for exactly this purpose. the software that came with the tv-tuner included the ability to stream video over the net. it can also handle multiple clients at the same time, provided the upstream connection is fast enough. i prefer this approach since i can use the computer for other purposes as well.

so the new series 2 tivos can't be hacked? i remember my old directivo could do all that you mentioned. but then i haven't followed the tivo-hacking scene in awhile.
