3 hours should be 22500 skymiles compensation as an initial ask
lol. Two years ago a friend was stuck in Milan for two-three days due to continuous maintenance issues with their A330. DL proactively deposited 20,000 miles in their accounts after. They literally spent 2-3 days waiting at the airport (with DL covering hotels overnight) because DL was hoping the plane would be fixed at any time. That’s the level of inconvenience that generated that level of comp.

(And there was no proactive mention of EU delay comp from DL of course… which I made sure my friend filed for.)
