3+ hours delayed / JFK-ATL DL 1104 / Compensation

TLDR: What’s realistic to request?
Booking cost = 23.7k miles + $11

BACKGROUND

Platinum medallion

My flight was delayed nearly 4 hours because the original equipment was given to a different flight experiencing mechanical issues (DL1 to London). If we were left on the original equipment, there would have been minimal delay (waiting for crew).

Had no way of knowing how delayed we’d be until already on board. 1.5 hour delayed when boarded (11:15pm departure time; 9:36pm OG), didn’t take off until 1:10am. Otherwise may have stayed over and flown tomorrow, particularly as I’m pregnant and need sleep more than ever. Landed after 3am. And PlaneTrain will be closed! 😒

SO FAR
Via iMessage, a rep gave me 5k miles and recommended I complete the online form for additional compensation.

COMPENSATION
5k is just the max the chat reps can offer.
What’s realistic/possible to ask for? Pretty measly thus far…
