passport check at jfk
I (am an american citizen) arrived from cdg at jfk yesterday. Since I was in business class on aa 121, I was one of the first people on the line. The agent punched only the first several letters of my last name (which has 10 characters) on his terminal, gave a quick glance at the screen and stamped my passport (the stamps are different than in November--part of the stamp has the words "homeland security" in the wording and is an oval stamp, as opposed to the old rectangular shaped stamps...)
He had a printout in front of him, and then crossed out one of the lines (it had letters and numbers, but not my name on that line), there were several other lines on the page already crossed out. Does anyone know what this is all about?
