I'll take this a tad personal - as you point out Stuttgart - I assume this is being directed towards me as well as maybe other members posting on the FT board.

It is your utterly condeceding tone with regards to local knowledge - you might be of Indian decent but that does not make you unique in terms of knowledge - meaning despite your preassumprions - there are in fact people who both have lived in India or have other relations to the region at large - I have lived twice for a yea in India and Pakistan - and also have a sister - by adoption from Sri Lanka - which will not make me totally incoherant to the situation in the region that you are addressing.

I find your tone utterly insuitable for an intenational enviroment such as the one that prevails on FT. Maybe your local knowledge should be praised - but I don't.... Learn to repect that not everyone will share your views....
